Hello, my name is Amanda Fleming and I am the Administrator here at Children’s House Montessori although I have been on campus as a teacher since 2008. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education through Flathead Valley Community College as well as being Montessori Certified through American Montessori Society. In addition to teaching at CHMS, I spent seven years teaching at FVCC. I am an avid outdoor enthusiast and I enjoy hiking, fishing, and camping with my husband and our three grown sons. My favorite children’s book is The Little Red Fish by Tae-Eun Yoo.
My name is Lisa Bell and I am the Associate Director here at Children's House Montessori. I have been in the Early Childhood field for 8+ years, and have held various positions that have shaped me into the Educarer I am today. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education, sit on several advocacy committees, and am constantly continuing my education through classes and trainings. When not at the school, I can be found adventuring outside with my husband and son, reading, dancing to music, playing games, or spending time with other loved ones. My favorite children's book is Is Your Mama a Llama? by Deborah Guarino .
Hello, my name is Lara Mann and I am the Lead Teacher in the Aspen Classroom. I hold a BS in Environmental Studies from The College of Idaho, and a MS in Natural Science Education from The University of Wyoming. This is my 4th year in a Montessori classroom, and my 2nd year at CHMS. I enjoy picking huckleberries, hiking, skiing, and gardening. My favorite children’s book is Duncan & Dolores by Barbara O'Neal.
Hello, my name is Darcie Blanden and I am the Lead Teacher in the Birch Classroom. I hold a Bachelors of Science degree in Health and Human Development as well as being Montessori Certified through the American Montessori Society. Hello, my name is Jessie Hix and I am the Assistant Teacher in the Birch Classroom. This is my second year at CHMS, and I love it so much, that I've started my Montessori Certification Training. I moved from Albuquerque, New Mexico after graduating college to hike the beginning leg of the Continental Divide Trail with a friend. In my free time, I'm outside snowboarding, hiking GNP ("heaven on earth") and coaching a U14-15 girls soccer team. My favorite children's book is Just the Way You Are by Max Lucado.
Hello, my name is Eve Hunter and I am the Lead Teacher in the Saplings classroom. I have a BA in Art from Linfield College and a MA in Education-Montessori from Montessori Northwest and Loyola University. I have been working with children since 2001 as a nanny, a Head Start teacher and a Montessori teacher. This is my 10th year working at CHMS in the Saplings program. I enjoy hiking, camping, knitting and being crafty. My favorite children’s book is Blueberries For Sal by Robert McCloskey.
My name is Camas Johnson and I am a Teachers’ Assistant in the Saplings classroom. I am a high school graduate, and this is my 3rd year at Children’s House! I love hanging with my two fluffy dogs, skiing, kayaking and gardening. My favorite Children’s Book is the Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch.
