Our Staff

Amanda  Amanda Fleming is the Administrator here at Children’s House Montessori.  She has been employed as a Lead Teacher since 2007, but recently decided to move to Administration and is loving it. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education through Flathead Valley Community College as well as being Montessori Certified through American Montessori Society. In addition to teaching preschool at CHMS, Amanda spent seven years teaching Early Childhood Ed at FVCC. Amanda’s extensive teaching experience allows her to work closely with the lead teachers as both trainer and mentor.

 

IMG_1576Sue Hays is the Directress in the Birch House, one of our two primary classrooms on campus. She has a B.A. in education K-8, with a reading endorsement for K-12. She has also been trained in Reading Recovery and Early Steps for early reading intervention. In addition, she is a certified Montessori teacher. She has taught for several years in public and private school systems. Sue is passionate about the Montessori curriculum and enjoys integrating language arts, music, math and art into all areas of her classroom. In her spare time Sue enjoys cooking, gardening, and literature.

 

IMG_1415 Eve Hunter is the Directress in the Saplings Early Learner program. She is a Montessori certified teacher through Association Montessori International (AMI) and also holds a Master’s of Education in Montessori from Loyola University in Maryland. She has a BA in Art and enjoys incorporating art as well as gardening and music into her curriculum. Eve began working at CHMS in 2009, took two years off after the birth of her daughter, and returned in 2014. when she is not working with our toddlers, Eve enjoys hiking, camping, knitting and being crafty.
